Caricature Gift Ideas

You can have a caricature drawn with (or without) personal details e.g. a keen fisherman drawn in all the gear standing beside an impossibly large fish; a rugby fan in the team jersey kicking that vital goal. A head and shoulders caricature with nothing in the background is also a popular choice. If the caricature is for a gift the drawing is usually matted and framed. The drawings also look good block mounted but the this could affect their longevity and value. You can order or enquire about a price by clicking on the link in the menu to your right.

Here are some examples of detailed caricatures that I have done within the last three years. If you point your mouse at the drawing slices then the complete drawing will appear. Featured here from left to right are:

The originals vary in size from A4 to A2 and took any where between a day and 30 days to complete. The NZ Rugby Union commissioned the caricatures of Dougie Howlett, Carlos Spencer and Tana Umaga along with the rest of the 2003 All Blacks World Cup Squad.

The Michael Campbell drawing is a work in progress. Watch the changes by visiting this page again.

Want to personalise your business stationery?

A simplified line drawing can be used on your business stationery such as compliment slips, notepaper and business cards. It gives a personality to your brand and your business a human feel to it. People will remember your business more readily and have positive feelings about it. People like to laugh and they like fun things.

I can supply the original artwork or scan the artwork and save it to a CD. Want to order or make an enquiry?

Banners, Posters & T-Shirts

My drawings can be transferred to banners and T-shirts or made into posters but these are usually for commercial purposes e.g. displaying your company's cartoon mascot. I have seen caricatures feature on banners at staff functions but this can be expensive and the value of the drawing can be compromised but what the hey! My caricatures of Jerry Collins, Tana Umaga, Ma'a Nonu and Rodney So'oialo featured on a very large banner advertising an exhibition at Pataka (Porirua Museum and Art Gallery). Do you have more questions or do you want to commission a drawing?
