Create your own cartoon mascot
Using a brand mascot has been a very effective marketing ploy for a variety of companies e.g. The Warehouse's Kiwi. It appeals to a broad range of people helping them to remember your brand and associate it with positive feelings e.g.having fun. In turn you can use your mascot to convey your company's values e.g. honesty and integrity.
Browser (right) was developed for New Solutions Ltd (now Softlink). Murray
Collingwood (founder) asked me to expand on his original concept, giving
Browser a wider range of movements and expression and to develop a distinctive
personality for him. He evolved into a Bond-type character with all the
latter's suaveness, sex appeal, humour and love of fast cars. Completely
new characters such as Browser's nephew and girlfriends have also emerged.

to say about the end result.
Cartoons & Comic Strips
You can use cartoons to good effect in your newsletters, on your
website or in your advertising. Cartoons can used as light relief or to
deal with difficult or unpalatable ideas such as restructuring and redudancy.
Here are some examples of the "light relief" variety. Simple humour
is usually the most effective.
